Kingsford’s Grondin named GNC DPOY

KINGSFORD — After leading the Kingsford boys varsity basketball team to a 17-4 overall record and 6-2 Great Northern U.P. Conference record, junior Gavin Grondin was named GNC Defensive Player of the Year on Friday. He was also named to the First Team All-GNC squad.
The Flivvers also had Cardel Morton named to the ALL-GNC Second Team while Jacob Markworth was awarded a Special Mention All-GNC nod.
The GNC coaches named Marquette junior Jacob MacPhee conference Player of the Year and Sentinels head coach Rich Ledy as Coach of the Year.
