Gold Medal Classic continues through the week
HERMANSVILLE — The Gold Medal Classic continued competition on Monday in Hermansville at the Frank Rodman Community Club.
The action kicked off with a Class EE contest between Thirsty Whale of Norway and Bellmore Farms from Frenchtown.
Thirsty Whale came out on top with a 54-24 win.
Sidetrack, Powers, took on 3’s Company of Escanaba in the next match with Sidetrack securing the 54-49 win. Drake Johnson of 3’s Company led all scorers with 24 points.
Wendricks Truss, Hermansville, took down Wilson Farms, Stephenson, 72-50 and the night ended with Wildwood, Hermansville, toppling Stewart Manufacturing, Hermansville, 67-50.
On Tuesday, Class D action was featured along with the Class EE semifinal between Whitens Dry Kiln, Hermansville, and Thirsty Whale.
Tuesday’s action also included a Class E contest between Stephenson Strollers and Got Milk, Dagget.
Tonight, the Class E semifinal will take place at 6 p.m. between Jim’s Plumbing, Wallace, and Wildwood, Hermansville.
At 7 p.m., Juiced Apparel, Carney, battles Kakuk, Stephenson, in Class C. That is followed by a Class D contest between ‘R’ Place, Spalding and Shamco, Iron River.
The last game today will be at 9 p.m. as Juiced Apparel, Carney, takes on the winner of Tuesday’s 9 p.m. contest.
Fans will also be treated to four games on Thursday with Dave’s Auto, Iron Mountain, taking on Shamco, Iron River at 6 p.m. in a Class C semifinal.
The second Class C semifinal will go down at 7 p.m. as Sports Corner, Marinette, Wis., does battle with the winner of Wednesday’s 7 p.m. matchup between Juiced Apparel and Kakuk.
At 8 p.m., Class D action gets underway as Kleiman Pump and Well Drilling, Iron Mountain, takes on the winner of Wednesday’s 8 p.m. contest.
The Class E final will be at 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Friday, there will be two Class D semifinals one at 6 p.m. and one at 8 p.m.
At 7 p.m. it’s time for the Class EE semifinal as Jim’s Plumbing, Wallace, takes on Sidetrack of Powers.
Friday’s final match will take place at 9 p.m. in the 40 and over division with Juice Promotions, Carney, going to battle with Pipkorn Mink Ranch, Powers.
Saturday will feature Class A and Women’s Division action.
On Sunday, the Class EE, Class C and Class D finals will take place.
