FLORENCE, Wis. — Seven Florence hitters drove in at least one run as the Bobcats eased past Three Lakes-Phelps 11-3 on Thursday in a Northern Lakes Conference baseball game at Florence High School.
Breyson Kelley led the Florence attack with two hits and three RBIs. Kade Larson, Trent McLain, Matthew Smith, Carson Chrisman, Kolton Campbell and Carter Reed all drove in a run in the victory.
The Bluejays scored on a catcher’s interference in the top of the first to go up 1-0. But the Bobcats responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning to take a lead they never relinquished.
Florence added a single tally in the third and then plated two runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
McLain started on the mound for Florence (6-2, 5-1 Northern Lakes Conference) and pitched five innings of four-hit ball. He allowed two runs and three walks while fanning 10.

Mason Koski came on in relief in the sixth and pitched the final two frames. He surrendered three hits and an earned run, walking three and striking out one.
Thursday’s win avenges a 7-5 loss to Three Lakes-Phelps earlier this season. The Bobcats now share the Northern Lakes lead with Crandon, who they’ll face at home on May 20.
Florence won at Crandon 13-3 on May 2.
