FOND du LAC, Wis. — Marian University baseball begins play Wednesday in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wis.

Fifth-seeded Marian will face No. 8 Concordia at 4 p.m. The top-seeded team is Milwaukee School of Engineering.

During the regular season, Marian’s Carson McLean, a sophomore pitcher from Iron Mountain, earned the first win of his career. It came in a 13-9 victory over Benedictine on April 26. McLean went 3.2 innings in relief with three strikeouts, allowing three earned runs.

The Sabres enter the NACC tournament with a 20-19 overall record and a 14-10 mark in the conference. McLean has a 1-0 record, appearing in nine games with 19 innings pitched.
