KINGSFORD – A hunter’s safety class will be held July 29-Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon in the Kingsford Middle School Cafeteria, sponsored by the U.P. Whitetails Association of Dickinson County.

A field day will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the United Sportsmen’s Club in Merriman.

Students must attend all classroom instruction and attend the field day in order to receive a hunter’s safety certificate

To be eligible, students must be at least 10 years old. This program is offered free of charge.

Students must provide their own transportation to all classes. Class size is limited to 100 students, first come first serve.
