Marinette derby Feb. 10

MARINETTE, Wis. — Communities that Care and the Healthy Youth Coalition will host its CTC/HYC Youth Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, Feb. 10.

This fundraising event will be at Red Arrow Park in Marinette, Wis., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Children ages 1 to 14 are eligible to participate with pre-drilled holes, and all fishing will be concluded at 1 p.m.

There will be two trophy opportunities for “heaviest fish” and “most fish” among three categories of fish (perch/bluegill, game, and other). Brackets will be split into age categories of 1 to 7 and 8 to 14 for a chance of first-, second- and third-place place trophies in each fish and age category.

There will be food, door prizes, raffles, music and more. Holes will be available for purchase starting at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, for $7 per hole.

Only 100 pre-drilled holes are available for purchase, with a two-hole maximum purchase per buyer. No “day of” purchases will be available. Holes must be purchased by Feb. 2 or until sold out.

Only cash will be accepted at the event for raffles and food.
