Violin performance

Family Ties photo

Roman Knapp, right, a senior at Iron Mountain High School, recently performed Christmas music at Family Ties in Iron Mountain along with his violin instructor, Irisa Wallner. Knapp has only been playing the violin since June but has quickly excelled. This is not a surprise, as he works hard and does well in many areas. Throughout high school he has maintained a 4.0 grade point average and is team captain of the High School Bowl Team. Knapp plans to attend the University of Chicago. Family Ties is funded in part by federal, state and local grants, UPCAP, the Veterans Administration, United Way of Dickinson County, local millage and private donations.
