Aspirus IR Clinic grand opening to be March 15

IRON RIVER -- Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics has set the grand opening of the new Aspirus Iron River Clinic for March 15.

The 24,000-square-foot, two-story medical clinic is on the hospital campus overlooking Ice Lake.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 1 p.m. and a public open house will begin at 4 p.m.

At the open house, community members can tour the new clinic, enjoy food and win prizes. They even can enter to win Fitbits, snowshoes, a paddleboard and more.

The four category winners of the community photo contest for the clinic will be announced at the ribbon cutting.

"We couldn't be more excited about bringing this impressive medical clinic to our community," Aspirus Iron River CEO Connie Koutouzos said. The Aspirus Iron River Clinic combines all Iron River clinics into one convenient location for patients.

The clinic will feature all primary and specialty care, as well as rehabilitation services, such as physical and occupational therapy. Patients will have access to full-scope family medicine, from pediatric to geriatric care, women's health, diabetes care, orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, imaging and lab.

Aspirus is a non-profit health system based in Wausau, Wis. With more than 7,000 employees, Aspirus serves communities throughout northern and central Wisconsin, as well as Michigan's western Upper Peninsula.
