DCHS staff commemorates the loss of a longtime friend and nurse, Andrea “Andy” Cousineau.

IRON MOUNTAIN — At a small ceremony inside Dickinson Memorial Hospital, staff and immediate family members recognized the life and the many years of service of Andrea “Andy” Cousineau.

Cousineau was a nurse with a hardworking, no nonsense approach that helped many patients over her career. The words of remembrance communicated the love and passion Cousineau had for her patients, her family and her colleagues.

Friend and coworker Kimberly Vassar shared her feelings, “Andy was a great nurse and she trained and taught so many of us how to be good, efficient, caring nurses. She left a big void in our hearts, but our heads are filled with many great memories of the person she was.”
