IRON MOUNTAIN -- Iron Mountain firefighters were called at 5:12 p.m. Friday to a vehicle fire on the 800 block of West B Street.
The owner had attempted to start the car, which was parked in a driveway, when the engine compartment started on fire, firefighters said. The fire was contained to the engine compartment, but caused a significant amount of damage, firefighters said.
They returned to the station at 6:03 p.m.
