Arrest made after fatal Chippewa County shooting
SAULT STE. MARIE — One person was taken into custody after authorities found a deceased shooting victim at a rental cabin in Chippewa County’s Trout Lake Township, Michigan State Police-Sault Ste. Marie Post troopers said.
The incident, which happened about 4 p.m. Saturday, remains under investigation at this time, troopers said.
No names have been released.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Sault Tribal Police Department, Chippewa Township EMS and other MSP personnel assisted troopers.
