The mayors met during Alessandrini’s recent family trip to Rome. Alessandrini and his family were on a cruise that stopped in Rome for 10 hours. Pesciarelli made the three-hour drive to Rome to welcome the Alessandrinis to Italy and present the mayor with a citizenship metal and other tokens of appreciation. Pesciarelli is planning a trip to Iron Mountain for Italian Fest in 2019.
