Professional football scouts will be at hallowed St. Norbert College next week to watch Green Knights kicker Spenser Thompson-Meyers.
Thompson-Meyers, from San Ramon, Calif., shares the Midwest Conference record with a 55-yard field goal. He's been nailing kicks from 65 yards out at the De Pere, Wis., facility.
"This conference has never seen a talent like Spenser as a kicker," St. Norbert special teams coordinator and former Niagara coach Bob DeKeyser told Fox 11 Sports. "In the history of this conference he holds practically every record there is."
Thompson-Meyers, a former soccer player, is self-taught when it comes to kicking a football.

Kingsford's Kevin Gravel, who last took the ice in February for the Edmonton Oilers, may not return next season for the NHL team. He's a free agent after this year.
The Athletic's Jonathan Willis, covering the NHL for more than 10 years, notes that Gravel is the Oilers' seventh defenseman. The team suits up six for games.
"Gravel has played reasonably well," wrote Willis.
Gravel has three assists in 35 games for the Oilers, fifth in the Pacific Division. The regular season ends next week …

Iron River's Nick Baumgartner wrapped up his 2019 FIS Snowboard World Cup snowboardcross season in Veysonnaz, Switzerland.
Baumgartner finished 15th in the final event and 22nd in the World Cup standings.
It's believed that Nate Holland, a seven-time World Cup race winner, will retire after 16 seasons. Andrew Gauthier of USskiandsnowboard.org wrote that Holland "is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest SBX riders of all-time."
Gauthier added that Baumgartner and other US snowboarders "continue to prove they can find the podium on any given day. The future is bright for the U.S. Snowboardcross Team." …
Former Carney-Nadeau star Hunter Eichhorn finished in a tie for sixth at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate golf tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Eichhorn, a Marquette University sophomore, is ranked 65th on Golfstat's list of the nation's top 100.
Eichhorn captured the 2018 UP Golf Association men's championship by 13 strokes at Norway's Oak Crest Golf Course …
