IRON MOUNTAIN -- Three young cousins turned a simple summer lemonade stand into an act of kindness for local children.
Wyatt Clarke, son of Jordan and Jessica Clarke, and brothers Brody and Brock Pericolosi, sons of Jake and Jennifer Pericolosi, recently decided they wanted to have a lemonade stand and donate the money earned to foster children in Dickinson County.
With plenty of lemonade, hard work and generous community support, the boys raised an impressive $664.
A special thank you goes to M.J. Electric, who generously allowing the cousins to use their parking lot for the fundraiser. The company went a step further by offering to match every dollar the boys raised, contributing another $714.
Together, the boys and M.J. Electric contributed a grand total of $1,428 for foster children in Dickinson County.
What began as a simple idea among three cousins became a wonderful example of kids helping kids -- and a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support a good cause.
The boys also extend their thanks to everyone who stopped by for a cup of lemonade and helped support their mission.
