West Iron County School District voters approved a sinking fund replacement millage on Tuesday, one of a number of tax proposals to gain support in the county. The West Iron vote was 1,100 yes to 717 no. With a previously approved sinking fund millage expiring this year, the district sought a levy not to exceed 0.85 mills, or 85 cents per $1,000, for 10 years beginning in 2027.
