CRYSTAL FALLS — Iron County Medical Care Facility has received notification that one of its employees has tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee was tested during the facility’s weekly clinic held on Wednesday, said Jessica Schultz, diversional therapy director at ICMCF.

“ICMCF will be reviewing this case and working with the local health department to determine if any further action is necessary,” Schultz said. ” We will continue to test employees and residents on a weekly basis.”

ICMCF will provide updates to its employees, residents, and residents’ representatives and families through posts on its webpage — www.ironcountymcf.com — in the emergency notification area as new information becomes available, Schultz said.

This is the second report of an ICMCF employee testing positive for COVID-19. The first case was disclosed Aug. 7 .

Weekly testing of staff has occurred since early July.
