Florence offers vaccine help

FLORENCE, Wis. — Currently eligible populations for the COVID-19 vaccine in Wisconsin include health care personnel, fire, sheriff, EMS, corrections, child and adult protective workers and individuals over 65 years of age.

The Florence County Health Department is working through lists of individuals who have given their personal information to be on a waiting list. No further names can be added to the current lists due to capacity.

Beginning soon, an online scheduling platform will be available for eligible groups. A link will be posted on the health department website at www.florencewipublichealth.com and the Facebook page.

For those individuals who do not have computer or smart phone access and are over the age of 65 or have a disability, please call the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 715-528-4890 for assistance in scheduling your appointment.

The number of appointments available is based on the quantity of vaccine supplied from the state. Individuals must be Florence County residents to receive the vaccine at this time. Public Health will provide more information about vaccine availability for eligible groups as it becomes available.
