Stamp club to meet Tuesday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. A short business meeting and educational program will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club will also auction lots of recently acquired stamps. Doll club to meet Thursday
EAGLE RIVER, Wis. — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Senior Center, 1100 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River. Judy Karlsson of Wood Dale, Ill., will present a program on celebrity dolls. Creating dolls to honor and resemble famous people has always been a trademark of doll companies. Members and guests are encouraged to bring and share their own celebrity dolls. Guests are welcomed at all doll club meetings.
