Aurora, Wis. — Frank and Connie (Simons) Wenzel of Aurora celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2017.

Connie turned 93 years old on May 13 and Frank will be 97 years old on July 30.

The couple was married on June 6, 1942 in Goodman, Wis., three days after Connie’s high school graduation. Just three short months later Frank was drafted into active military duty during World War II, returning three years later.

They were blessed with eight children, Francis, Tony, Roxanne, David, Veronica, Jeff, Mark and Paul. Sadly the family suffered the tragic loss of David in 1969, at the age of 17.

Today Frank and Connie enjoy 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and expected triplet great-grandchildren due in November.

The family enjoyed a wonderful celebration on June 10, with grandchildren traveling from California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois and New York.
