John and Wendy Lovato of Crystal Falls are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Lovato, to Jacob DeNell, son of Darryl DeNell and the late Nancy Francisco of Crystal Falls, Robert Francisco of Crystal Falls and Beth Brunelli of Iron Mountain. Amber is a 2016 graduate of Forest Park High School and attended Ferris State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-optometry. Amber is now in her second year at the Indiana University School of Optometry and will graduate in 2024 with her doctorate degree. Jacob is a 2016 graduate of Forest Park High School and attended Michigan State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering and is now employed as a software engineer for the Ford Motor Company. The couple resides in Bloomington, Ind. An August 2022 wedding is planned.
