IRON RIVER — The 14th season of Open Mic Night at the Windsor Center has kicked off.

Open mic will begin at 7 p.m. on performance nights, which are the last Saturday of each month. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A $3 donation per person is requested for those ages 13 and older.

The event showcases local musicians of all ages playing a variety of genres of music on multiple instruments.

Coordinator Erika Sauter noted that you will never know what you will hear at an event, but be sure it will be a great time.

The first show had a full docket including a new band from Alvin, Wis.

Participants can sign up for a slot for any of the upcoming shows on May 25, June 29, July 27, Aug. 31, Oct. 26 and Dec. 14.
