Saturday in the Park planned this weekend

IRON MOUNTAIN — Saturday in the Park offers a weekend full of live entertainment at City Park in Iron Mountain.

Friday evening’s entertainment kicks off with Nashville recording artist Jordan Blanchard. The former Wisconsin resident will play from 5 to 7 p.m.

Closing out will be the local group 141 North performing a variety of country tunes from 8 to 11 p.m.

On Saturday, Bottled in Bond will play from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Taking stage at 5 p.m. will be Kind of Blues of the local and Escanaba area playing variety blues music.

The variety classic rock band Oz will entertain the crowd from 8 to 11 p.m.

A bounce house, obstacle course and slide will be available both days for children. Cost is $10 each day for ages 12 and younger to have unlimited access.

This year, they have included an inflatable bull-riding activity.

The Smoke House, operated by local fire departments, will also be on site.

Curious Pig and Smoklers will both have a variety of food available for both days. They will also be a beer tent ,along with other beverages available.

Admission bracelets, which are good for both days, are $15 at the gate, with no charge for ages 12 and younger.

No carry-ins are allowed. The community is encouraged to bring the entire family.

The event will also have 50-50s and bucket raffles.

The 2024 sponsors include LiUNA Local 1329, M.J. Electric, Rize, First National Bank, and Trident Maritime Systems.

All proceeds go toward maintaining and improving City Park.
