Americana roots music duo Friday at Crystal Theatre
CRYSTAL FALLS — The Seth Brown Duo will share their stories and upbeat Americana roots music at 7 p.m. Friday at the Crystal Theatre in Crystal Falls.
Seth Brown grew up in a large musical family surrounded by the Eagle Cap Wilderness of rural eastern Oregon. According to Brown, he began writing songs “with six strings in hand.”
Desiree, Brown’s wife and partner on stage, also grew up in the country, but farther east, among the golden cornfields of central Illinois.
Both eventually made the trek to Nashville., where they met. Always carrying a love of writing and music, each established corporate careers. The couple’s passion for storytelling reached new heights in 2019 as they left everything they had known — their fancy house and successful careers — for the wide open road.
Blending country, folk, and rock ‘n’ roll, the duo has toured Oregon, Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida.
The self-proclaimed dreamers and full-time storytelling musicians now call the Upper Peninsula home. The duo are touring regionally throughout the Great Lakes region when they are not out nationwide.
Season flex-passes or advance tickets for The Seth Brown Duo can be purchased online at thecrystaltheatre.org, by phone at 906-875-3208, or in person at Stage Left from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
