Ski movie premiers on Friday at the Braumart
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Braumart in Iron Mountain will show the 75th-annual Warren Miller movie premier Friday.
The film is hosted by the Pine Mountain and the Norway High School ski teams.

The Warren Miller Entertainment production company is considered an icon in the ski industry. Most people would recognize clips of his movies over the years — whether they were comical, crazy or beautiful — once they saw them again.
Their movies highlight both the best extreme skiers in the world and the first-time skiers in a way that is unique to Miller. The film will takes the viewer on a journey around the world to the most beautiful, untouched mountains and scenery imaginable.
The production company has released a new feature-length film annually since 1949. This will be only the second time a world premier will be in Iron Mountain.
Warren Miller productions were filmed and narrated by Warren Miller himself until 2008, when Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley took over as the narrator. Miller remained involved in the movies until his death in 2018.
The local ski teams were able to secure the movie rights to help raise money for their self-funded programs.
All movie attendees are automatically entered in a drawing for door prizes from local businesses, to be handed out at the start of the movie.
Ticket are $12 each for the movie and can be purchased online through the Braumart website at www.thebraumart.org or at the Pine Mountain Sport Shop in the Pine Mountain Resort.
