IRON MOUNTAIN — Get ready for a night of music, community and giving back Saturday in downtown Iron Mountain.
MJE Cares will transform the area in front of Sol Blu Lounge into a block party-style celebration for a great cause.
The fundraising street event, which will run from 5 to 8 p.m., will feature live music from Acoustic Soul with Chris “Cully” Colavecchi, Amber Farrington and Paul Fornetti. They will also have raffles and a 50-50 drawing.
All funds raised will go to support local individuals and families in need.
With the newly established Downtown Iron Mountain Social District, attendees can grab a drink from any participating establishments — including Sandstone Terrace, Sol Blu or Carlos Cantina — and enjoy it while soaking in the summer sounds and good vibes outside, MJE Care representative Event Coordinator Jennifer Pericolosi said.
Carlos Cantina will also be open for takeout, making it easy to grab a bite while enjoying the festivities, she added.
This event is hosted by MJE Cares, the charitable arm of M.J. Electric, which has long worked behind the scenes to support local causes and community members through financial assistance, volunteerism and direct outreach. The foundation is rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through compassion, connection and action.
“We’re so excited to bring the community together for a fun evening that also gives back,” Pericolosi said. “This is what we’re all about — helping others and lifting each other up when it’s needed most.”
Pericolosi encourages the community to come downtown to join the fun and support a great local mission.
