Sixtiesmania to make two local appearances this weekend
IRON MOUNTAIN — Sixtiesmania returns for two local performances this weekend.
On Saturday, the audience will take “A Journey Through The Sixties” at The Braumart in Iron Mountain. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the concert to start at 7 p.m.
Then Sunday, the tribute band hailed as “one of the most authentic Sixties shows on the world circuit today” takes the stage at 7 p.m. at the Crystal Theatre.
Sixtiesmania delivers all the great groups and songs that became an iconic backdrop to that turbulent decade. From the Beatles to The Beach Boys, the band covers the British Invasion, the California sounds, Carnaby Street, the Vietnam tour of duty, Flower Power, Woodstock and more.
The show features authentic tailored suits from England, multiple costume changes, vintage instruments, incredible musicianship and a repertoire of more than 250 songs.
Tickets for the Saturday performance are available online at www.thebraumart.org and at the door on the day of the show. Gus Macker participants with wrist bands can get in for $15.
A portion of the proceeds go to support the Imagination Factory Children’s Museum in Iron Mountain.
Advanced tickets for Sixtiesmania at the Crystal Theatre can be purchased online at thecrystaltheatre.org, by calling 906-875-3208, or in person at 9 a.m. to noon daily through Friday at Stage Left.
