AbbaMania returns Oct. 16 to the Crystal Theatre

CRYSTAL FALLS — More amazing musical mania is coming to Crystal Theatre. This time it is AbbaMania, recreating the genuine ABBA concert energy in a performance set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.

As a bonus for patrons, at 7 p.m. Saturday the theatre will show the 2008 film “Mamma Mia,” which features ABBA’s greatest hits.

AbbaMania showcases nine incredible musicians performing 21 hits of ABBA, the wildly popular group of the disco era. Featured on the program are these fan favorites “Waterloo,” “Take a Chance,” “Winner Takes it All,” “Dancing Queen,” “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!,” “Money, Money, Money,” and “Mamma Mia.”

With numerous costume changes, choreography, backup singers and big studio sound, this tribute band aims to deliver the most accurate and authentic ABBA concert possible.

Formed in Stockholm in 1972, the original Swedish pop group ABBA was the most renowned and commercially successful musical group in history. AbbaMania organized in 1991 and is the longest-running ABBA tribute band in the world.

According to Crystal Theatre’s Managing Director Kristin Underhill, tickets are going fast.

“Take a chance on us and come experience Crystal Theatre,” Underhill said. “This is bound to be an end-of-season showstopper. It is our last Gem concert of the 2025 season and your last chance to use your flex pass tickets.”

Advanced tickets for AbbaMania on Oct. 16 can be purchased online at thecrystaltheatre.org, by calling 906-875-3208 or in person weekday mornings at Stage Left.

Admission to the movie Saturday is by donation.
