Foxworthy brings southern humor to the Island in January
HARRIS — Redneck comedian Jeff Foxworthy has made more people laugh than just about anyone on earth. Now he’s headed to the Island Showroom on Saturday, Jan. 24, to tickle even more funny bones.
Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country — and the bestselling comedy recording artist in history. Widely known for his redneck jokes, his act goes well beyond that, exploring the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature — a style often compared to Mark Twain’s. He’s a multiple Grammy Award nominee and bestselling author of more than 26 books.
A familiar face on television, Foxworthy has starred in or hosted five TV series, including “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” on FOX and “Blue Collar TV” on the WB network. He also toured as part of the wildly successful “Blue Collar Comedy Tour,” one of the most popular comedy tours of all time.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Foxworthy worked hard to become one of America’s favorite comedians — but really, he’s just a regular guy whose jokes happen to be better than yours. When he’s not on stage, he’s an avid outdoorsman who spends his free time on his Georgia farm.
