ESCANABA – Former Escanaba resident Barbara Porter – working under the professional name “Porter Kelly” — appeared in the season premiere of “The Pitt” (HBO Max) on Jan. 8, playing a patient named Margaret “Hail Mary” Walker.

Porter is scheduled to appear in an upcoming episode of “CIA” (CBS), a new spinoff of the FBI franchise.

Porter is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association and also an Emmy-voting member of the Television Academy.

She is a graduate of Escanaba High School and Northern Michigan University, where she was recently inducted into the Theatre and Dance Department Hall of Fame.

She is the daughter of Sharon (Porter) Gilbert, sister of Joe Porter and sister-in-law of Sherry (Mroczkowski) Porter.
