Groove Candy to perform at Music in the Park in Norway

Grove Candy of Marquette performs Thursday at Music in the Park in Norway.

NORWAY — This week, Music in the Park will welcome a new band to the (hopefully) bandshell stage in downtown Norway as Groove Candy presents the second 2026 concert of the free summertime music series at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Out of the Marquette area, Groove Candy, a six-member band new on the concert circuit, brings the best of funky R & B, soulful vibes, high-energy dance and some classic rock with a fresh twist. From Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson to Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan and more, they cover the legends and modern hits and will have something for everyone in the audience. Groove Candy is sure bring a fun show to the Music in the Park audience.

“We hope folks that come into Iron Mountain for this week’s Out to Lunch concert, featuring The Make Believe Spurs, will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful bandshell park for another great concert with a group totally new to Music in the Park,” music/programming coordinator Greg Hunt said.

Despite a wet and stormy start to the 2026 season, a faithful and appreciative audience enjoyed an enthusiastic performance by popular local group 141 North, indoors and out of the weather at the Crossroads Church.
