Two local groups take downtown IM stage on Saturday for new festival

IRON MOUNTAIN — The community is invited to a full day of music on Saturday at the First National Bank & Trust Downtown Stage in Iron Mountain.

Finding Feathers of the local area will perform a variety of a blend of folk and traditional country with rock and roll flair tunes from noon to 3 p.m.

From 3:30 to 5 p.m., the crowd is invited to line dancing lessons with an instructor.

Taking the stage to close out the evening is the local band, 141 North, playing a variety of country music from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Admission is $5. The stage is on the corner of Iron Mountain and Hughitt streets.

Friday — Dwayne Meeker of northern Wisconsin (’60s through 2000s rock, country and blues music), 7 to 10 p.m.

Saturday — Night Train Band of the Hermansville area (variety country music), 7 to 10 p.m.

Sunday — Sunday FUNdraiser Day with The DayDreamers of Marquette area (variety music), 4 to 7 p.m. The suggest cover/donation is a $5 cover charge, with 100% going to Medical Care Access Coalition.

Wednesday — Todd Wangerin Project of the local area of the local area (indie and alternative pop/rock acoustic music), 6 to 9 p.m.

OUT TO LUNCH, DOWNTOWN STAGE, IRON MOUNTAIN — Today, The Make-Believe Spurs of Marquette (alternative-folk and Americana music), 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Food and beverage truck vendors are Sliced & Stacked LLC and 906 Pop Culture.

Thursday, June 25 — Groove Candy of the Marquette area (funky R&B, soul, dance and rock music), 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Food and beverage truck vendors are Crispigna’s Italian Market and 906 Pop Culture.

Sunday — Sagola Township Fire Department Cornhole Tournament, registration opens at 1 p.m. with tournament at 2 p.m. Admission is $20 per person. They will have 50% payout for prizes with other funds raised going to the fire department. They will also have 50-50 and electric smoker raffle.

Wednesdays — Trivia night, starting at 5:20 p.m. Free to play. Winner will receive a free Summer Place pizza.
