Comedy for a Cause featuring Robbie Printz and friends set for July 18

IRON MOUNTAIN — The second-annual Comedy for a Cause hits the stage at The Braumart in Iron Mountain on Saturday, July 18.

Headliner Robbie Printz will be joined by Ethan Printz and Tim “Bubs” Ellison.

Proceeds from the fundraiser, which is hosted and supported by the LongRiders M/C Michigan, go to the U.P. Honor Flight and the American Legion Post 211 in Florence, Wis.

“Three very funny comedians — along with a special guest, which is the winner of the ‘Bubs Comedy Competition’ — will delight audiences of all kinds,” said The Braumart Executive Director Jinx Brew. “This is a great event for a great cause.”

Headliner Robbie Printz is an award-winning comedian about to embark on his 37th year as a professional stand-up comedian. He was recently named named Entertainer of the Year for Princess Cruise Lines.

Over the years, Printz has performed on NBC, A&E, MTV and Comedy Central. Other notable achievements include winning the Boston Comedy Festival and being selected as Best Comedian in Boston by the Improper Bostonian.

“Printz has every reason to like being on stage, because he certainly has a gift of being able to make people laugh,” The Boston Globe said.

“His show is a funny take on everyday life. Delivered with high energy and a fast pace that keeps the audience laughing from start to finish,” Jinx added. “Laughter is the best medicine, so come see Robbie Printz and laugh with him about life … Or laugh at him about his life. Either way, you’ll feel better.”

Sixteen-year-old stand-up comedian Ethan Printz brings the next generation of comedy to the stage. Despite his short time in the comedy scene, he has performed at renowned venues such as Tupelo Music Hall, Giggles Comedy Club, Nick’s Comedy Stop, and many more.

“Everybody needs to laugh, and if there’s one man/boy that will help you do just that, it’s Ethan,” Jinx said.

Tim “Bubs” Ellison is a small-town comic with big-stage delusions and a knack for winning over any crowd. He placed second at the 2024 Frozen Squid Comedy Competition and earned a spot on the Loons on the Lake All-Star Comedy Showcase in Minneapolis.

He has performed at Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago and is a regular host at the Island Resort & Casino.

Known for clean, self-deprecating comedy and strong crowd connection, Bubs consistently delivers comedy that’s clever and consistently funny.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available from LongRiders members and on The Braumart website at www.thebraumart.org. Tickets will be $35 at the door, if available.

“Don’t miss this great summertime entertainment at the Braumart,” Jinx said.
