ALPHA -- Music, food, and community spirit will come together Saturday as the 2026 Red, White and Bluez Fest takes over the Village of Alpha Pavilion.
Gates open at noon, with music getting underway at 1 p.m. with the Flat Broke Blues Band of Marquette. The group will entertain with a mix of classic blues, rhythm and blues, and rock 'n' roll.
The entertainment continues at 2 p.m. with Dewey, Rockem & Howe. The Sons of Legend with Bobby Bluez and special guests, will close out the evening with a performance beginning at 5 p.m.
Local musician Paul Sundquist will keep the music going during band intermissions.
Music will continue throughout the afternoon and evening, wrapping up at 8 p.m.
One of the day's most anticipated events will be the Bluez Berry Pie Eating Contest at 4:30 p.m., adding a little friendly competition -- and plenty of pie -- to the festivities.
Festival-goers can also enjoy food trucks, craft beer and cash raffles throughout the day. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. No carry-ins will be permitted. Food trucks will be serving from noon to 6 p.m.
Vendor Village will also be open for shoppers from noon to 6 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 cash only at the door. Children younger than 12 are admitted free with a parent. Advance tickets can be purchased at Alpha Village Hall, Slivensky's Hardware in Crystal Falls and Sach's Rendezvous in Tipler, Wis., during business hours.

Proceeds from the event go to Friends of Alpha, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to the renovation of the historic Village Hall.
Alpha Village Hall is one of the oldest continuously-used public buildings in Iron County and is one of the few public gathering spaces in this rural community. Friends of Alpha are currently raising funds for insulation, roof, new windows and more.
With live music, local talent, food, contests and a cause rooted in the community, the Red, White and Bluez Fest offers a full day of entertainment while helping support an important piece of Alpha's history.
