IRON MOUNTAIN -- Wisconsin-based bluegrass band Chicken Wire Empire will perform Saturday, Oct. 3, at The Braumart in Iron Mountain.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m.
Formed in 2016, Chicken Wire Empire has built a reputation for energetic performances, intricate arrangements and original songwriting. The band released its self-titled debut album that year and has since produced a collection of studio recordings and live projects.
The group's sixth and latest album, "Growing Pains," was released June 1. The album reflects the band's musical development over the past decade while drawing on its Midwestern roots and bluegrass and Americana influences.
Chicken Wire Empire has partnered with dozens of artists from all corners of bluegrass and Americana communities, including Sam Bush, Peter Rowan, Vince Herman and Keller Williams. The band's upcoming album also features guest appearances by Grammy-winning musicians Jerry Douglas and Kyle Tuttle.
The band has received recognition from music publications including Americana Highways and Americana UK. Americana UK described Growing Pains as offering "a variety which transcends genre and rewards careful listening."
Capturing the ever-evolving sights and sounds of the road through the lens of their Midwestern roots, the band's catalog of songs is ever-growing and CWE continues to be acknowledged for their pensive attention to detail in writing and crafting deeply engaging songs.
