CHANNING -- Cuculi's Bar in Channing this year hosted the Talent Quest International Karaoke Competition and had five contestants advance to the Upper Peninsula regional competition.
Regional winner Jim Caron, who placed first in male masters, will go to Fort Worth, Texas, for the next level of competition.
Other competitors from Cuculi's who competed in the regionals included Ben Verley, second place, male pop/rock; Codell Story, second place, male country; Tania Zanoni, fourth place, female masters; and James Olson, fifth place, male pop/rock.
Cuculi's will host a party from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday to honor all who participated in the Talent Quest International Karaoke Competition.
