TESLA to play at Island Showroom in February

HARRIS -- Rock band TESLA will bring its bluesy, soulful sound to the Island Showroom for two nights at 8 p.m. Eastern time Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27.

Since forming in Sacramento in the mid-1980s, TESLA has remained rooted in the sounds of 1970s rock and roll, drawing influence from iconic acts such as The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith.
TESLA's 1986 platinum debut album, "Mechanical Resonance," established the band, featuring hits such as "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Little Suzi." The momentum continued with 1989's double-platinum "The Great Radio Controversy," which produced the hits "Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)" and "Love Song."
After touring with rock legends including Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, TESLA earned headlining status. The band's catalog includes the platinum-selling albums "Psychotic Supper" and "Bust a Nut," "Five Man Acoustical Jam" and nine albums released since 2000, including their latest single, "Time To Rock!"
