Halloween parties planned this weekend

IRON MOUNTAIN — It’s not Halloween without a party. And area establishments are living up to those those words, planning a variety of fun entertainment this weekend.

The Alpha Brewing Co. in Alpha will have its Boos and Brews Bash from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Voice of the North DJ Productions will provide a mashup of spooky tunes. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed as their favorite craft brew and “boo-gy.” Prizes will be awarded for best costumes. Food will also be available by the Back Porch Eatery.

Get ready to party Friday at the Wild Horse Saloon in Iron Mountain at its annual celebration. Karaoke with Morning Star begins at 8:30 p.m. They will also have a costume contest and offer drink specials throughout the evening.

DJ Seismic will provide the tunes from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday at Pick-Axe Tavern’s Halloween party in Crystal Falls.

An “All Hallows Eve” is slated Friday at Woody’s Bar and Grill in Crivitz, Wis. DJ Jake will entertain from 7 to 11 p.m., with a meat raffle to start at 8:30 p.m. and costume contest at 10 p.m. They will also have mystery shots and drink specials.

Get spooky at the Halloween Costume Party at Backwater Bar and Grill in Crivitz, Wis., on Friday. Festivities will start at 9 p.m. They will have DJ music all evening, as well as drink specials. They will award prizes for first through third place for the costume contest.

The Pine Grove Bar in Republic will celebrate the haunted holiday Friday with the local rock band Spun from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Then on Saturday, the band Diversion will take over the Halloween festivities from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. They will host a costume contest both nights, with cash prizes for first through third, as well as Jell-O shots and drink specials.

A haunted walk takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. at Cedars Edge Wine & Gifts in Niagara, Wis., on Saturday. There will be treats for the kids, bobbing for apples and wine samples for the adults.

The Big 10 Sports Bar & Grill in Quinnesec invites ghosts and goblins to their Booze and Boos Halloween event Saturday. The local variety band, 141 North will entertain the crowd starting at 8 p.m. Costume judging begins at 11:45 p.m., with the first-place winner awarded $100, second place $50 and third place $25. They will also have spooky drink specials and shots throughout the event. Admission is $5 at the door, with proceeds going to support a family at Christmas through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

It’s a “Nightmare on Main Street” on Saturday at Mister Mom’s in Norway. Festivities begin at 9 p.m., along with drink and shot specials. They will host a costume contest with scariest and best couple awarded top prizes.

The local band Govern will be rockin’ from 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Sol Blu in Iron Mountain. Get those masks ready to enjoy great music and spooky good drink specials.

The Pit Stop Bar and Grill in Niagara, Wis., is whipping up its famous homemade pumpkin pie shots for their annual Halloween party and costume contest Saturday. They will hand out prizes for best costumes, with other prizes for those in disguise throughout the night.

Travel on down to the the Boundary Waters at The Four Seasons Resort in Pembine, Wis. for their Halloween Costume Party on Saturday. Mane Event Karaoke kicks it off at 9 p.m. Party-goers are encouraged to come dressed in a creative costume for a chance to win prizes. Participants must be present the entire duration of the event to be considered for costume judgment. Drink specials will also be offered.

The C&R Bar in Aurora, Wis., will host its annual Halloween Bash on Saturday. A DJ will begin spinning music at 10 a.m. They will offer prizes for the top three costumes, as well as a few more surprises to be given out. There will have special Jell-O and mystery shots for the celebration.

Mr. Black presents “The Midnight Masquerade” Halloween party on Saturday at Venue 906 in Kingsford. The event, which runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, features three cash prizes of $400 for first, $200 for second and $100 for third, along with a Nerd Award. Go get spooky with K-Blitz at the Knight Owl Sports Bar and Grill in Norway on Saturday. The annual Halloween party is set from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and will feature witches’ brew and drink specials. Best dressed will receive $150 for first and $75 for second. They will have Knight Owl T-shirts and merchandise giveways throughout the night.

Who’s Next in Aurora, Wis., will host a Halloween party Saturday, with drink specials from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The costume contest judging takes place at 11 p.m.

Come party with Spun for annual Halloween Bash on Saturday at the LaBranche Tavern. Music begins at 9 p.m., with judging at midnight. They will also award cash prices of $150, $100 and $50 to top three costumes.

Get those pipes ready to sing at the annual Halloween party Saturday at Nutter’s Sports Bar in Powers. Karaoke with Noah will be from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., with costume contest at midnight. Cash prizes will be awarded.

R Place in Powers will celebrate Halloween and its fifth anniversary Saturday.

An epic Halloween celebration is planned Saturday at the Island Resort & Casino in Harris. Music from Tami and the Doctors starts at 8 p.m. Eastern time, along with tricks, treats and drink specials. Costume contest registration is 7 to 9 p.m., with judging at 9:30 p.m. First place will be awarded $800, second place $400 and third place $200. There will also be several other drawings and additional prizes.

Everyone is invited to come for the boos and stay for the booze at the Halloween Bash at JP’s Backwoods Bar in Amberg, Wis. Festivities run from 4 p.m. to close Saturday and will feature hors d’oeuvres, pumpkin carving contest, games, drink specials and giveaways. The costume contest begins at 8 p.m.

It’s another spooktacular Halloween event with DJ B-Rad at Sociables in Wausaukee, Wis., on Saturday. Get those costumes ready and take a trip for a creepy, crazy night starting at 7 p.m. Contest is set for 10:30 p.m., with first place awarded a $100 gift certificate, second place a $50 gift certificate and third place a $25 gift certificate. They will be judging for the funniest, scariest and most creative. Everyone is welcome to enjoy their drink specials and snacks.

Get your ghoulish groove on and get ready to shake your boo-ty at Richard’s of Dunbar Supper Club Halloween Costume Party on Saturday. The event kicks off at 9 p.m. They will also have drink specials.

Sing until the witching hour with Dave and Vickie Karaoke on Saturday at Nimrod Inn Bar and Supper Club in Athelstane, Wis. The Halloween party and costume contest is planned from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

A spooky celebration is planned Saturday at Toby’s Tap in Carney. A costume contest takes place at 6 p.m., with winners to be announced at 9 p.m. Participants must be present to win. They will also have karaoke and food 8 p.m. to close.

Start the evening at The Mine Shaft Bar and Grill in Florence, Wis., for a costume party and drink specials.

The Infield Bar and Pizzeria in Crystal Falls will feature Jake and the Fireside Band with Paul Amerson from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday. They will also have a costume contest for their annual Halloween party.

Party it up Saturday for the scary holiday at the Amasa Sawblade. Karaoke starts at 9 p.m. Those in costume are encouraged to sing in character. They will also have shot specials throughout the night.

Join in the fun for some singing and dancing Saturday at Outer Limits Bar in Iron River. The Halloween costume party begins at 9:30 p.m.

Get your Halloween costume ready for the Snipe Lake Pub and Grill celebratation Saturday in Iron River. The doors will open at 4 p.m.

Thor’s Wolverine Den in Crivitz, Wis., is planning an Epic Halloween party Saturday, starting at 9 p.m. They will host a costume contest with prizes awarded for the scariest, funniest (single or couples), and most creative homemade costume (single or couples). Judging and parade at midnight.

A Halloween anniversary bash takes place Saturday at Shoreline Inn Bar and Grill in Crivitz, Wis. DJ Maye will get the party started at 8 p.m. A costume contest is planned.

Come dressed in your “Hallows best” and receive the first drink on the house at Uncle Mike’s Corner Pub & Grill in Crivitz, Wis. on Saturday.
