Events planned in Kingsford

KINGSFORD — Venue 906 in Kingsford has events planned today and Saturday.

Today is variety acoustic music by Jim Counter of the local area, starting at 5 p.m.

Saturday will feature a Trailer Trash Party with the local band Next Myle. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the variety group to play starting at 8 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed in their best trailer trash attire.

They will also have a cornhole tournament at 6 p.m. Teams are encouraged to register early. Several drink specials will be offered as well as food available. The party has no cover charge.

Nutter’s Sports Bar, Powers — Today, Cal’s Country Classics (country music, 4 to 7 p.m.

Pine Grove Bar, Republic — Friday, Spun of the Marquette area (rock music), starting at 8 p.m.

Saturday — Adam Carpenter of the local area (rock music) starting at 8 p.m.

The Four Seasons Resort, Pembine, Wis. — Friday, Frank’s Dinner Theater, “The Wake of Johnny Blood,” starting at 7 p.m.; and Jim Counter (variety country acoustic music), starting at 9 p.m.

Saturday — Mane Event Karaoke (variety music), starting at 9 p.m.

Pine Mountain Resort, Iron Mountain — Friday and Saturday, Midwest Comedy Tour, a night of stand-up, music and improv featuring Austin Robertson, Becky Sahlin and Jake Iannarino. Doors open at 6 p.m., with show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Island Resort & Casino, Harris — Friday and Saturday, Norton, Chartier & Co. (variety classic rock music), 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Wild Horse Saloon, Iron Mountain — Every day, rock/country music videos jukebox, played on six big-screen TV.
