MARQUETTE -- Get into the Halloween mood at Northern Michigan University with its upcoming weekend concert.
NMU's student organization Northern Michigan Artist Discovery will host The Witching Hours, featuring Spooky Mansion, a surf soul rock 'n' roll band based in Los Angeles.
Local indie band Passed Out, Curbside will open for Spooky Mansion alongside an up-and-coming duo from Detroit, Ain't Afraid.
Musical performances will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern time Saturday in the Northern Center Grand Ballroom.
A costume contest will also be held. All attendees are encouraged to be creative and come dressed up.
Admission to the event is $10 for the public or free with an NMU student ID. Limited spots are available. Register on thehub.nmu.edu to reserve a seat.
