HARRIS -- The classic rock band 38 Special is coming to the Island Resort & Casino stage for shows on Feb. 28 and March 1. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m. Eastern time, with an 8 p.m. show time.
The gold and platinum album artists had 20 Top 40 songs on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart from 1980 to 1991, a legendary rock era. With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, "Hold On Loosely," "Rockin' Into the Night," "Caught Up in You," "Fantasy Girl," "If I'd Been the One," "Back Where You Belong," "Chain Lightnin'," "Second Chance," and more --timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen.
38 Special band members are guitarist/vocalist Don Barnes, bassist Barry Dunaway, drummer Gary Moffatt and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Jerry Riggs.
