Salsa Manzana live at The Braumart

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Crystal Theatre in Crystal Falls. Tickets are still available.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Get ready to groove with Salsa Manzana on Saturday at The Braumart in Iron Mountain.

Salsa dance lesson will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m.

The traditional 12-piece Latin group, based out of Appleton, Wis., features some of the top musicians of the Fox Valley area.

Co-founders of the band, Carlos Mendez and Mark Te Tai have entertained crowds since 2012.

With Mendez’ authentic Puerto Rican heritage and Te Tai’s longstanding relationship with their local music community, they have assembled a band of top musicians from Oshkosh to Green Bay.

The band has helped the Fox Valley area grow its diversity culture at events such as Appleton’s Octoberfest, Fox Jazz Festival and Oshkosh’s Waterfest.

Salsa Manzana entertains and educates audiences throughout northeastern Wisconsin by promoting salsa, mambo, merengue, cha cha, bachata, bolero and Latin jazz.

Salsa Manzana also plays at a variety of multi-cultural festivals, charity fundraisers and educational school events to Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Latin-flavored weddings and quinceaneras.

The group looks forward to their return to the Iron Mountain historical stage this summer. “The Braumart is one of our favorite places to play,” the band states. “The Fox Valley Latin dancers will present a mini-workshop for salsa dancing just before we start and will also dance throughout the concert.”

Tickets are $32 and available online at www.thebraumart.org and at the box office. Tickets are $35 at the door while supplies last.

“Come to The Braumart to experience an evening of great music,” The Braumart Executive Director Jinx Brew said. “Have fun dancing the night away or just relax and enjoy the concert.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
