MARINETTE, Wis. — Northern Lights Master Gardeners and the Marinette Senior Center will continue a summer-long series of gardening classes, “Let’s Talk Gardening!” on Wednesday.

These classes are free and open to the public. Gardeners of all ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

These hour-long sessions will cover a wide variety of timely topics presented by local gardeners. Afterwards, there will be ample time for open discussion to answer any questions.

These classes will be on the first Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m., with the final class on Wednesday, Oct. 7. This series of classes will be designed to help gardeners throughout the entire growing season.

The latest class will cover “Having fun with gourds.” The nightshade family includes tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplant and more. These events take place at the Marinette Senior Center, 1603 Ludington St., Marinette. Pre-registration is not required.
