IRON MOUNTAIN — Local country music artist Alexis Ray will perform at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center.

She grew up in Marinette and discovered her musical ability at an early age. She had a knack for singing and shortly picked up the guitar. She has been performing in front of audiences for the past four years.

Marking her third return in 2017, she was part of the opening lineup for country music star Josh Turner at the 35th Annual Porterfield Country Music Festival.

Her talents even landed her a finalist spot in Green Bay’s Y100 Country Music Contest.

She has performed at wineries and pubs throughout Wisconsin, and was a guest musician at the 2016 Marinette Police Department’s National Night Out in August.
