IRON MOUNTAIN — The Zonta Club is now accepting applications for its Young Women in Public Affairs Award.

The YWPA Award is open to pre-university and pre-college women age 16to 20 committed to the volunteer sector and dedicated to the advancement of the status of women.

The YWPA Award program operates at the club, district, and international levels of Zonta International.

The Zonta Club of Iron Mountain-Kingsford gives a $500 monetary award to the winning candidate. The winner of the local award moves on to compete at the district level, to vie for a $1,000 monetary award and the chance to move on to international competition.

Zonta International provides ten $4,000 monetary awards. Applications are available online at www.zonta.org.

Fully completed applications, including all letters of reference, and transcripts and supporting document,s can be mailed to Zonta, c/o of Andrea Mashak, Finch Law, P.C., 115 W. C St., Iron Mountain, MI 49801.

All applications and materials must be received by the deadline Monday, March 26. No exceptions will be permitted.
