FLORENCE, Wis. — Eighteen participants recently walked the Historic Buildings Tour hosted by the Florence County Historical Society. They enjoyed a refreshment break at the Encore on Central at the midway point and as an added bonus were able to see the Encore decorated for a wedding reception there later in the afternoon.

The museum also was open for viewing exhibits. One wall this season is featuring the Historic Buildings Walk with photos, information and artifacts.

Although this was the last scheduled walk, any club, organization or a group of friends that would like a tour yet this fall can contact Karen Wertanen at 715-528-4744 and the Historical Society will try its best to accommodate the request.

Monthly meetings of the Historical Society are set for 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the museum. Guests and new members are always welcome.
