CALUMET — Samantha Olson and Daniel Ballo-Shuck were united in marriage on Oct. 27, 2018, at the Keweenaw Heritage Center at St. Anne’s in Calumet.

The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Soren Schmidt of Chassel, who was assisted in ceremonies by the bride and groom’s friend, the Rev. Seminarian Carolyn Lawrence of Chicago.

Samantha is the daughter of Patrick and Kim Olson of Crystal Falls.

Daniel is the son of Suzan and Lynn Shuck of Crystal Falls.

The bride is a graduate of Michigan Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering. She is employed with GEI Consultants as a project engineer.

The groom is a graduate of the Northern Michigan University lineman program as well as Fox Valley Technical College, with an associate’s degree in diesel technology. He is employed with Utility Sales and Service as an aerial technician.

The bride and groom have made their home in Florence, Wis.
