Daughters of Isabella Circle 367 to meet April 4

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Daughters of Isabella Congress Circle 367 will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Immaculate Faith Formation Center in Iron Mountain. Marlene Johnson will serve as hostess.

The Circle met March 7 at IC Faith Formation Center with Regent Barbara Bedard in charge. It was noted that the February meeting was canceled due to the weather.

In the absence of Chancellor Louise Plante, the opening prayer was led by the Regent followed by the ode.

The Regent reviewed communications received since December 2018.

— An invitation received from the Officers of the State Council, who are sponsoring a fashion show on March 30 at Sterling Heights, Mich.

— Notification of the state conference to be at Mackinac Island June 3-5. All members are invited to attend and a $100 attendance fee is required for the circle if anyone attends.

— The D of I of New Haven, Mich., are sponsoring a “Queen Isabella Award” for a worthy member. They are asked to submit a nomination petition if interested.

— The International headquarters of New Haven, Conn. has submitted a “Prayer for Increased Membership” to promote new members to join the D of I. The prayer is available for distribution to members.

— A booklet covering the convention in Canada on Aug. 7-8, with 436 members attending was received for the records. They are asked to send $35 to cover the cost.

The Chaplet to Blessed Mother Mary was said for Holy Benefits promised.

The Hail Mary prayer is offered for Louise Plante.

The 93rd birthday on March 8 for Louise Plante was acknowledged.

Hostess Dolores Hamby served dessert and coffee followed by games of bingo.
