Free community meal Sunday in Norway

NORWAY — Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will host a free community meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the church hall.

The menu will be ravioli in red sauce, meatballs, vegetable, dessert and beverages.

There is no cost for dinner, but a donation basket will be available for those who want to contribute toward the meals.

Free meals also can be delivered in the Norway-Vulcan area.

Those unable to come to the church who would like a meal delivered or who want to come for takeout should call the church office at 906-563-8917 before 2 p.m. Thursday. Those who get the answering machine should leave a message but call before the Thursday deadline, since any message left after that time may not be received.

Reservations for eating in also would be appreciated.

“The meals program has been growing since its beginning as a new community outreach ministry,” said Chris Spence, dinner organizer. “It is funded through donations.”

All are welcome to attend. The church at 130 Odill Drive is behind the Jake Menghini Museum and is known as Crossroads, a facility shared by Grace United Methodist and Bethany Lutheran churches.
