Easter Bunny visits Pinecrest

Gabby and Norah LeBeouf enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny after the egg hunt at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.

POWERS — Easter was a busy time at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers this year.

The Easter Bunny made a personal visit to the senior living facility — filling the hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and two greenhouses with 4,000 eggs.

Staff and residents were on hand to help distribute the treats to the 77 visitors from North Central Elementary School from kindergarten through second grade and two local daycare centers.

The children wasted no time locating all of the eggs and opening them to find the treats hiding inside. They were even able to give a hug to the Easter Bunny himself.

Before leaving for home, the children enjoyed refreshments in the multi-purpose room.

Pinecrest thanks the Key Club from North Central High School and residents for helping out the Easter Bunny by filling the eggs. Also a thank to residents’ family members and community members for the donations.

“It was a great success and the residents had so much fun seeing the excitement in the children’s faces,” Activities Director Cheryl Rochon said. “We are already looking forward to bunny making a personal return visit next year.”
