Deadline approaching for Trudell Scholarship

IRON MOUNTAIN — Applications for the 2019 fall semester Trudell Scholarship are due Friday.

Since its inception in 2004, the Trudell Scholarship has provided more than $77,000 to nearly 70 qualified students enrolled at Bay College West in Iron Mountain.

Initially started to provide for non-traditional students, the scholarship now is open to all eligible applicants. To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Dickinson, Iron or Menominee counties in Michigan or Florence, Marinette or Forest counties in Wisconsin for at least one year.

Financial need must be demonstrated and applicants must have a grade-point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Applications can be obtained from: First National Bank & Trust, 233 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain; or Bay College West, 2801 N. U.S. 2, Iron Mountain.

Applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, creed, sex, physical or mental disability or handicap, color, national origin, religion or marital status.
